Works across the enterprise to deliver improvement coaching and project leadership. In addition to working on broad cultural transformation, this position is responsible for supporting improvement projects that deliver sustained and measurable results, support knowledge transfer of process improvement methods and practices through facilitation, training, and development of the workforce at all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions:
Collaborates with and mentors Associate level Performance Improvement team members for development and growth.
Demonstrates respect for people and Lean behaviors that help support improvement practice among team members to promote safe, timely, effective, efficient care for our patients.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and communications with key executive and senior-level operational and clinical leaders to position process improvement work as a key enabler to strategy to execution efforts.
Requires ability to effectively transition into and out of multiple settings within the health system to establish credibility and gain trust.
Leads and facilitates improvement events and projects including assessment, planning, event facilitation, and follow-up. Meets quality standards and the production of expected deliverables during all phases of the event and project life cycle.
Utilizes basic project management skills for each initiative including meeting and documentation management, proper scoping, timeline management, data collection, and pre- and post-project communication plans. Keeps projects on track and key sponsors informed. Utilizes escalation plans and countermeasures when project timelines or outcomes are at risk.
Provides support to Process Improvement Associates and Senior Advisors partnering with operations to develop, implement, and sustain a Management System model, thus supporting the organization's goal deployment process. Supports the development of leader standard work for tiered accountability and reporting structures that connect senior management goals to the work of the frontlines.
Provides support to Process Improvement Senior Advisors in teaching, mentoring, and coaching leadership teams to establish and maintain the strategic focus, action plans, and dashboards, to execute work.
Facilitates and supports projects, coaching others on using Lean improvement methods such as: Kaizen, 4C, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, A3s, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.
Ability to plan and facilitate effective meetings and workshops using group process and problem-solving tools and techniques.
Works with operational team members to collect and analyze process data, to identify opportunities, develop solutions, implement improvements, and help operational management ensure sustainability.
Acts as a change agent to instill process improvement culture throughout the organization. Communicates regularly with executive sponsors, team leaders, process owners, and other stakeholders about team progress toward goal achievement, critical factors, and barriers.
Demonstrates effective management of project scope, schedule, using project management tools and techniques.
Maintains status of all assigned projects using tracking tools and processes developed by the department for reporting purposes
Provides consultation on effective change management strategies.
Utilizes IT applications for preparing status reports, progress updates and other documentation as requested.
Develops and provides presentations on process improvement projects with support of Associate.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree Required
Masters Degree Preferred
Work Experience:
3 years Healthcare/Performance/Process Improvement Required and
Clinical and/or healthcare leadership Required
Licenses:
Advanced Lean Certification within 2 years Required or
Certified LEAN Six Sigma within 2 years Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise with Microsoft Office and statistical software for analysis and presentations.
Experience with EPIC health information management system, and organizational skills are a plus.
Analysis, spreadsheet, and other software programs; group facilitation; project management, virtual meetings.
Ability to work remotely with minimal disruption.
