Supply Chain ERP System Specialist

Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time

Hours: M-F Day

Full Time: 40 hours/week

General Summary

Responsible for supporting the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and 3rd party applications related to Supply Chain processes and data. Primary job functions include stabilizing and optimizing the ERP system and connected 3rd party applications; understanding the WellSpan shared services ERP operating model; monitoring, maintaining, and problem solving issues to sustain operations from monitoring job performance and configurations of the ERP system; analyzing the current and future ERP system configuration, business rules, and system capabilities; analyzing options with pro's and con's, and making recommendations to decision maker stakeholders when appropriate. This role will work collaboratively with end users as well as other members of the ERP support team to meet service level agreements; identifying root causes of reported issues and driving resolution in areas of responsibility. Position will also extend shared services by supporting ERP system configuration, testing, and training by providing end user support related to target entities assimilating into the shared services model. Must have a balanced skillset, including strong functional knowledge of Supply Chain business functions and processes as well as multi-tenant cloud ERP technical architecture (Oracle Cloud preferred).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • ERP System Support: Provide ongoing support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and associated 3rd party applications, with a focus on financial processes and data management.
  • System Stabilization and Optimization: Work to stabilize and optimize the ERP system and connected 3rd party applications, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
  • Monitoring OIC jobs, ESS processes, and other critical system functions, investigating and resolving jobs and transactions with error status'.
  • Maintain and update specifications, job schedules and configuration documents and establish revision control standards.
  • ERP Operating Model Analysis: Understand and analyze the shared services ERP operating model to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Configuration and Business Rule Analysis: Evaluate current and future ERP system configurations, business rules, and system capabilities; identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations.
  • Options Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze different system configuration options, outlining pros and cons, and make thoughtful recommendations to decision makers.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Collaborate with cross functional teams (IT, SCM, FIN) and end users and ERP support team members to meet service level agreements and resolve issues related to ERP system functionality.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify root causes of reported issues and drive resolution within areas of responsibility, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Support for New Entities: Assist in extending shared services by supporting ERP system configuration, testing, and training for new entities integrating into the shared services model.
  • End User Support: Provide hands-on support and training to end users, ensuring they are equipped to effectively use the ERP system and related applications.
  • Provide Liaison Support to other SC members and IT to assist in resolving issues effectively from performance issues including ERP functions as well as 3rd party platforms.
  • Determine ownership, develop processes, and communication protocols related job management and processes issue resolution between Supply Chain and IT.
  • Functional and Technical Expertise: Maintain a balanced skillset, including strong functional knowledge of financial business functions and processes, as well as multi-tenant cloud ERP technical architecture, with a preference for Oracle Cloud.
  • Version Control: Ability to maintain and operate in multiple environments (e.g. TEST, TRAIN, PROD) simultaneously.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with end users, team members, and stakeholders, ensuring that technical information is conveyed in an understandable manner to the functional audience, and vice versa, anticipating areas of confusion and proactively addressing with hands on support.
  • Champion Automation and Data Integrity: Advocate for and implement automation solutions within the ERP system to improve efficiency, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data throughout all processes and system interactions.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years Implementing and managing ERP systems Required and
  • 5+ years Experience in healthcare, technology, or related field. Required
  • 2+ years of Oracle Fusion/Cloud experience preferred

Courses and Training:

  • Relevant Oracle certifications Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of SQL
