Coordinates patient care activities for respiratory patients as required by WellSpan Medical Equipment policies and procedures as well as ACHC requirements. Is responsible to carry out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of WME to all internal and external customers. Performs equipment downloads and forwards information to physician offices.
Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
Coordinates CPAP/BiPAP intakes from referral sources to include: entering new patient demographics into Brightree; performing insurance verification and obtaining authorization number, if needed; addressing initial orders within 2 business's day and tracking orders throughout the process; assuring that all supporting documentation includes sleep studies, face to face notes, and physician orders are present; scheduling equipment set-up.
Assists with coordination of repairs on patient owned CPAP/BiPAP equipment, along with CSR's, as needed.
Receives information on new oxygen setups, distributes to the Respiratory Therapists for follow up. Also receives copies of 02 order changes and distributes to a Respiratory Therapist for follow up with patient.
Schedules and tracks the ApneaLink to completion. Completes paperwork and sends report to ordering doctor.
Performs and tracks the WristOx to completion. Completes paperwork and sends report to ordering doctor.
Downloads CPAP units as needed and forwards the downloads to the physician.
Provides daily and monthly statistics regarding work performed.
Maintains good communications/relationships with referral sources.
Assists in the Quality Improvement (QI) process within the department by making suggestions for improvement and assisting in the collection of data as needed.
Answers phone calls.
Documents and maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
Medical field experience. Preferred
