Neurologist- Epilepsy

Location: WellSpan Medical Group, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time

General Summary

Responsible for defining clinical priorities within neurology and neurosurgery, recruitment of appropriate physician staff, clinical oversight of EEG, EMG, Stroke Unit, research and other neuroscience initiatives to be developed within WellSpan Health. Administers and directs the activities of assigned personnel. Provides medical care to patients. Reviews the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.

What you can expect at your practice:

  • Join a collegial team of 7 Neurologists providing outpatient care in York, PA
  • Great schedule 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday; appointment lengths 30 /60
  • Call is 1:7 and does not include stroke calls
  • A well-respected service in the community with a large referral base
  • WellSpan York Hospital has a level 3 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
  • We also offer ambulatory and long-term video EEG monitoring.
  • Epic utilized at all WellSpan locations
  • Learn more about the practice and the provider team
  • Medical Directorship opportunity commensurate with experience

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Neurology residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
