Schedule: Part Time

General Summary

Provides clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in an internal medicine practice setting.

WellSpan Medical Group (WMG) is seeking a part-time Internist for their Dover practice in suburban/rural York County. Individual must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine degree plus completion of a medical residency training program in Internal Medicine. He or she must also be Board Certified/Board Eligible.

Position Highlights:

  • Join a collegial team within an outpatient primary care setting
    • 3 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner
    • Long-term staff with low turnover
  • Great hours: Mon 10a-7p, Tues 8a - 5p and Fri 8a - 3p
  • Practice is a Top 10 Recommended Practice via Press-Ganey survey
  • Providers Quality numbers are consistently above the medical group goal
  • Patient population: mix of young, middle-aged adults and seniors
  • WellSpan now utilizes DAX - Dragon Ambient experience. DAX is an artificial intelligence scribe that ambiently listens to the patient visit and generates a clinical note into the EPIC EHR for the provider

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Administrative skills.
