General Summary

Provides clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in a family practice setting.

WellSpan Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Family Physician to join our established practice located on a health campus in Chambersburg, PA. WellSpan Health is a nationally recognized, integrated health system that serves the communities of central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. Position Highlights:

  • Join 5 physicians and 2 CRNPs in this sought-out practice established in 1980
  • See full spectrum newborns to elderly
  • Specialists, lab and pharmacy on site; Inbasketologist assists
  • WellSpan Primary Care now utilizes DAX - Dragon Ambient experience
    • DAX is an artificial intelligence scribe that ambiently listens to the patient visit and generates a clinical note into the EPIC EHR for the provider
  • Take call one weeknight every other week and every 8th weekend

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine, or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Administrative skills.
