Faculty Member-Family Medicine Residency

Location: WellSpan Medical Group, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time

General Summary

Assists with the administration and direction of the Family Practice Residency Program. Provides clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in a family practice setting.

WellSpan Health is seeking a Faculty Member for our ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency program established in 1968 in York, Pennsylvania. We have a "Clinic First" Curriculum, a new state of the art office and strong community engagement. We are committed to educating residents in the full spectrum of Family Medicine in a respectful and supportive environment.

Position Highlights:

  • Practice and teach full-spectrum family medicine to 24 residents; OB preferred
  • 3 half day sessions of outpatient care at Thomas Hart Family Practice
  • Precept residents 2-3 half day sessions per week
  • Inpatient service approximately every 7 weeks
  • Explore WellSpan's Family Medicine Residency Program in York, PA
  • Develop high-quality educational curriculum and experiential rotations per ACGME requirements in simulation training, in-office ultrasound use, practice management, Medication-Assisted Therapy and other innovative FM topics

Qualifications:

  • Must be board certified/board eligible ABFM or AOBFM
  • Prior core faculty member experience preferred

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required or
  • Completion of a Family Practice residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
