Driver Associate - Per Diem/PRN

Location: York Hospital, York, PA
Schedule: PRN/Per Diem

General Summary

A qualified, dependable Class "A" or "B" CDL Driver for our Mobile Mammography team. Responsible for driving our 40' coach to and from client's location, setup when you arrive, and tear down prior to departure. Our drivers must always drive safely, be professional, and courteous when performing their work. Preferably at least six months of CDL driving experience, have a clean driving record with no moving violations, and familiar with DOT regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Maps routes to ensure safe and efficient travel.
  • Communicates with Fleet Services to report any vehicle concerns or damage.
  • Helps maintain coach by performing regular inspections, checking tire pressure, and checking fluids.
  • Maintains detailed driving post-trip inspection logs to maintain DOT compliance.
  • Tracks and reports working hours to maintain DOT compliance.
  • Adheres to all company rules and policies.
  • Obeys all applicable traffic laws and drives according to the weather/road conditions.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Submits to post-accident drug and alcohol testing as required by DOT or as directed by Employee Health.
  • Helps maintain cleanliness of the coach.
  • Assists with the set up and break down of the coach for each event.
  • Assists technologists with tasks as appropriate.
  • Fuels vehicle at each outing.
  • Maintains required employment training (LMS).

  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
  • Participates in educational programs and in service meetings.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • None Required
  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Less than 1 year Experience driving a motor coach or similar 40' straight truck. Preferred

Driver's License Statement:

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to pass motor vehicle background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
