Cogito Analyst Associate-Analytics Center of Excellence - Days

Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time

Full Time (80 hours/biweekly)

General Summary

Is responsible for supporting the triage, creation, troubleshooting, security, distribution, and support of Analytic Reporting using the native Epic reporting tools. Working within WellSpan's Analytics Center of Excellence, the position will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust insights, analysis, and analytical reporting to support ongoing problem solving while leveraging Cogito functionality.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Works with team members to configure and test Epic-released and Foundation System content for all applications, including but not limited to Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer data models, Radar Dashboards, Epic Metrics framework, SQL-based reports and Epic Registry Framework.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to understands and documents the needs of data consumers. Takes guidance from team members to determine most appropriate reporting tool for new data needs
  • Develops skills to create, test and deliver SQL-based and non-SQL based solutions
  • Develops skills to create analytic content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle leveraging Cogito Tools
  • Modifies existing reports, as necessary
  • Distributes analytics content to data consumers
  • Reviews peer reports for validity
  • Follows standards to maintain the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records
  • Follows Cogito Administration policies and standards
  • Supports the development and maintenance of security policies for Cogito
  • Tests analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments
  • Reviews upgrade documentation related to Cogito features and works with team members to determine how to implement the changes
  • Participates in Agile Framework
  • Prioritizes well, shows energy, reacts to opportunities, instills urgency in others and meets deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Bachelors Degree In engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, or healthcare administration Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 4 years experience with Epic Application Build or Reporting; Healthcare, Analytics, or Information Systems experience Required

Licenses:

  • Certified in Epic Upon Hire Preferred

Courses and Training:

  • Certified in Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools Administration, and one Epic Data Model Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and an analytical mind.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of data models through classes geared toward content areas.
  • Ability to understand data structures that could benefit the entire data environment.
  • Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, and clearly communicate solutions.
  • Novice with SQL and Cogito functionality (Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Epic Metrics framework, Epic Registries).
  • Competent with relational database concepts data analysis.
