Business Development Analyst

Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Hybrid work model - on-site in York, PA on a regular basis.

General Summary

Supports business development through the acquisition and interpretation of data to support business/strategic initiatives. Evaluates business cases and plans, and external business development opportunities to the full range of strategic enterprise initiatives. Produces and collects relevant financial, clinical, and market data necessary for projects. Supports business development projects across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Solves problems utilizing business intelligence combined with deeper analysis of those areas.
  • Benchmarks metrics to national, regional, local, organization specific and other recognized benchmarks including modeling the business units for achievement of desired benchmarks.
  • Participates with various WellSpan teams in developing gap analyses and action plans to gap reductions.
  • Participates as part of the team in evaluating and solving problems utilizing business intelligence combined with deeper analysis of those areas.
  • Works with current systems such as Power BI, Sg2, Epic and other systems to mine data and analyze and report on data essential to the management of business development projects.
  • Works with new IT solutions. Develops, in conjunction with others, corresponding metrics from these systems.
  • Analyzes WellSpan's current offerings and maps them to new market development projects, identifying gaps and opportunities.
  • Conducts market analysis of offerings with competitors or parallel industries to illustrate how we compare with the broader market.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Min Field of Expertise: Healthcare Administration, Business Development, Finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong data management and analysis skills to identify trends that translate to sound business opportunities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/requests simultaneously
  • Healthcare experience in clinical analytics is desirable
