Associate Residency Program Director-Family Practice

Location: WellSpan Medical Group, Lebanon, PA
Schedule: Part Time

General Summary

Assists with the administration and direction of the Family Practice Residency Program in accordance with appropriate requirements, standards and regulations. Assists in the review of quality, adequacy and appropriateness of resident education within the program

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Residency Program Director to join our Family Medicine Residency team. In this full-time role, you will assist in oversight of WellSpan Good Samaritan Family Medicine residency program, with a focus on enhancing resident education and coordinating inpatient services. You will also have the opportunity to supervise and teach MD and DO residents and medical students, participate in teaching rounds, and maintain a private outpatient practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the program director to comply with the program requirements as outlined by the ACGME, the RRC's Program Requirements. Participate in teaching rounds, didactics, and resident recruitment/evaluation
  • Supervise and educate residents in residency research/scholarly/community activities
  • Maintain a personal patient care panel and participate in patient care in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting
  • Participate in medical staff activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Potential to oversee the Family Medicine continuity site as its clinical director

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • License to practice in Pennsylvania
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency
  • Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a faculty member in a Residency program

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Family Practice residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
