WellSpan Health, a nationally recognized, integrated health system serving the communities of central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland, is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy Emergency Department in York, PA. About the Practice

  • York Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center located in York, Pennsylvania with an annual volume of over 92,000 visits per year.
  • PRN position; Minimum of 6 shifts in a 6-month period.
  • Must be certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; inpatient and emergency experience is preferred.
  • Dynamic staff of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Successful candidate must be able to provide care to all ages, be compassionate, self-motivated and be able to work independently.
  • Support includes fast lab turnaround, hospitalist team to facilitate admissions, digital imaging exam rooms and an integrated system-wide electronic health record (Epic).

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Masters Degree For Nurse Practitioner. Required or
  • Bachelors Degree For Physician Assistant. Required
  • Masters Degree For Physician Assistant. Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Relevant experience. Required

Licenses:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire Required and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners and appropriate clinical specialty certification. Upon Hire Required or
  • Physician Assistant - Graduate of accredited physician assistant program Upon Hire Required
