General Summary

Facilitates learning opportunities for a variety of programs and target audiences. Continually assesses audience learning needs and evaluates impact of learning outcomes. Works in conjunction with Instructional Design team in the assessment and development of new learning solutions, sometimes as the subject matter expert.

  • Coordinates the education process (clinical and non-clinical) for a defined target audience of WellSpan staff including assessing educational needs, planning, developing and delivering appropriate education and training, and evaluating education outcomes. May act as subject matter expert for the development of new learning solutions for targeted audiences. Develop, coordinate, manage, facilitate, conduct, and evaluate on-boarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
  • Functions as an educational consultant to departments, service lines or entities for System-wide or entity-wide initiatives requiring education and training.
  • Contributes to the enhancement of organizational, team and individual performance through the appropriate and measurable evaluation of education interventions.
  • Facilitates the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of WellSpan education programs.
  • Provides consultation services throughout WellSpan regarding education/training.
  • Utilizes appropriate external education resources to evaluate courses for presentation within WellSpan.
  • Identifies and develops strategies to facilitate a continuous process of maturation through lifelong learning.
  • Develops relationships to increase growth capacity among learners.
  • Connects others to knowledge/resources within and outside of nursing.

  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Maintains System educational/training records.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Supervises, trains/orients staff, evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Maintains System educational/training records.


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Must have 3-5 years Nursing experience required
  • Must have experience with curriculum development
  • Must have 3-5 years' experience training delivery and facilitation

Licenses:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Assignment may require knowledge of computer software and operations.
