General Summary

Provides plastic surgery services to patients.

Position Summary:

WellSpan Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is a comprehensive, collegial, well-established & highly respected practice. Our team-based approach is focused on patient safety, quality & provider well-being. The group has a strong referral base within central PA & the area is growing exponentially! In addition to being the #2 retirement destination in the U.S. according to US News, the communities attract young families who work in the nearby Baltimore/DC metro area.

  • Designed for lifestyle balance with reasonable hours & call.
  • Employed by WellSpan Medical Group & includes a broad mix of surgical cases.
  • Facial trauma, lymphatic microvascular surgery, peripheral nerve surgery & MOHS.
  • WellSpan York Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • 9 residency programs include general surgery & emergency medicine.
  • The practice collaborates with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
  • Faculty appointment at Hopkins with all clinical duties performed at WellSpan.
  • American Board of Plastic Surgery eligibility or certification is required.
  • While not required, expertise in Microvascular Reconstruction preferred.
  • 2025 graduates are welcome & encouraged to inquire.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and the American Osteopathic Board of Plastic Surgery. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
