Position Highlights:

  • We are seeking a physician who is board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine to become part of our medical team in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
  • Located in Lancaster County, Ephrata Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that accommodates 122 patient beds
  • The emergency department is a 25-bed unit equipped with dedicated behavioral health beds to better serve the needs of our patient population
  • Robust staffing model during peak volume hours, with physicians scheduled in an equitable rotation of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
  • Collegial hospitalist group handles admissions 24/7
  • Hospital is equipped with quick imaging/lab turnaround & 24-hr. anesthesia

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must be credentialed for all core procedures. Upon Hire Required
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Commander. Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency care, techniques and procedures.
  • Teaching skills.
