Position Highlights:

We are seeking a physician who is board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine to become part of our medical team in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
Located in Lancaster County, Ephrata Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that accommodates 122 patient beds
The emergency department is a 25-bed unit equipped with dedicated behavioral health beds to better serve the needs of our patient population
Robust staffing model during peak volume hours, with physicians scheduled in an equitable rotation of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
Collegial hospitalist group handles admissions 24/7
Hospital is equipped with quick imaging/lab turnaround & 24-hr. anesthesia

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and
Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required and
Must be credentialed for all core procedures. Upon Hire Required
Certification as an Emergency Medical Commander. Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency care, techniques and procedures.
Teaching skills.
