Anesthesiologist

Schedule: Full Time

General Summary

Responsible for monitoring patient comfort before, during, and after surgical or medical procedures through the administration of anesthesia and other medications. Administers anesthetics during surgery and adjusts them as needed. Monitor patients' vital signs.

WellSpan Medical Group (WMG) is a well-established, physician led non-profit organization with a focus on provider well-being, quality & patient safety.

WMG is currently seeking to employ BC/BE Anesthesiologists at York Hospital, a 600-bed, level one trauma center.

Position Highlights:

  • York Hospital is a teaching hospital with 10 residency & 8 fellowship programs.
  • Bariatric, cardiac, colorectal, general, neuro, OB/GYN, oncology, urology, vascular, trauma, etc.
  • 99% medical management
  • 1:18 call with guaranteed pre and post call days off
  • CRNA run epidural service with no overnight epidural calls
  • No Restrictive Covenant

Our Commitment to You:

  • Fulltime salary of $575,000
  • Extra shift rate of $300/hour
  • Eligible for 1-3% salary increase in year two
  • $30,000 signing bonus and $100,000 student loan repayment
  • Full relocation (pack & move) at no cost

  • 10 weeks scheduled time off
  • $4,500 CME reimbursement

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required or
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Upon Hire Required and
  • Successful completion of an Anesthesiology residency. Upon Hire Required
