WellSpan Health Evangelical Hospital is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Heart and Vascular Team in Lewisburg, PA. About the Practice

  • Full-time position; Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, rotating weekends and holidays, on-call required
  • Partner with experienced physicians and advanced practitioners for consults of new patients and follow-ups of established patients.
  • Clinical time: 60% of scheduled time will in outpatient vascular clinic / 40% of time will be spent in wound clinic, inpatient vascular rounding. Call includes general surgery coverage 1:4 weekends. No weekday call responsibilities.
  • Position will collaborate with Hospitalists, Emergency Medicine, & OB/GYN providers to assist with practice population.
  • All-encompassing role with variety & independence. Will be doing procedures, consults, OR assist, and management of surgical inpatients/admits.
  • Ideal candidate would have vascular surgical experience; however, the team will train for the right candidate. New graduates are welcome to apply if their passion is in vascular surgery.

Must have a Master's degree and be board certified as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Masters Degree For Nurse Practitioner. Required or
  • Bachelors Degree For Physician Assistant. Required
  • Masters Degree For Physician Assistant. Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Relevant experience. Required

Licenses:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
  • Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners and appropriate clinical specialty certification. Upon Hire Required or
  • Physician Assistant - Graduate of accredited physician assistant program. Upon Hire Required
